The goal of this project was to design a book that educates individuals on the subject of typography. As a part of this goal I was tasked to design a creative way to show the different classifications, a profile on at least one typographer from each classification, at least 3 typographic specimens for each classification, and a special fold that displays a time-line of typefaces and span of each classification.
In my approach I thought a lot about producing a book that was compact, simple, and engaging in ways that would be fun for a wide range of individuals. The grays in this minimalist color palette express the sophistication of the books design while the vibrant hues of orange and blue correlate to the pop-up like features through out the book. Typiphany is a book about enlightening new designers about typography and its history in design.
